How long are the courses?

Great question!

My courses typically range from 3 to 6 hours and are delivered in short, digestible lessons which makes it easy to refer back to important topics.

I recommend taking the course over 4 weeks and giving yourself 2 hours a week to watch the lessons, complete the practical exercises and take the quizzes. However, I've also had students complete the course faster (and slower) based on their needs and schedule.

My courses are also based on quality (not quantity), so I always focus on giving you the knowledge and skills you need as clearly and concisely as possible.


How practical and actionable are the courses?

They're very actionable.

All of the courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills to get the most out of your data. My courses are based on over 10 years of consulting with clients and training people on how to use Google's products. This means the courses align with business needs, and not just theory.

For example, when covering the reports inside Google Analytics you'll learn how to configure them, what they tell you, and how you can apply the data.

You'll also find walk-throughs, practical exercises, best practice techniques, and tips included in the courses. 


Will the course suit me?

We have students from small and medium businesses, marketing agencies, leading brands, enterprise businesses, nonprofits, and government departments, so you're in good hands.

Our courses are designed to teach you important foundations before covering intermediate and advanced topics.

How long will I have access to the course content?

There's no time limit, so you can take the course at your own pace, and rewatch lessons whenever you need.


Will I receive a certificate?

Once you've completed all of the lessons, quizzes, exercises, and assignment, you will receive a certificate.

How do I add my certification to LinkedIn?

LinkedIn requires you to manually add certificate details to your profile.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click the following link to create your certificate on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/profile/add?startTask=CERTIFICATION_NAME
  2. Copy the name of the course and add it as the certification ‘Name’.
  3. Enter Loves Data as the ‘Issuing Organization’.
  4. Select ‘This credential does not expire’.
  5. Enter the month and year when you complete the course.
  6. Enter your certificate ID as the ‘Credential ID’ (this is optional).
  7. Enter your unique certificate URL as the ‘Credential URL’.
  8. Click ‘Save’.

That’s it!


Do I have to show up at a certain time?

No.

You can take the lessons whenever you like and at your own pace. And since the course includes full access there's no time limit, so you can re-watch lessons whenever you need.

That being said, I recommend blocking out time in your calendar as soon as you've joined the course to ensure you complete the lessons at your desired pace. For example, you might schedule 2 hours a week over 4 weeks.


Can I ask a question in the course?

Yes.

If you’re a student in one of our paid courses, then you can ask questions in our course community. So if you want to ask a technical question, or get a second opinion, then you can ask for help in our community.


Can I take the course on my mobile or tablet?

Yes.

You can access courses on your mobile and tablet devices. You'll need to use a browser (like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox) to log into your account and you'll also need a reliable internet connection.


What are the system requirements?

You'll need a reliable internet connection and a web browser.

The latest versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox are recommended.

Courses can be accessed on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, however, most students choose to take the courses on their desktop device.


Where do I access my course?

Navigate to our course platform and once you've logged into your account you can find all of your courses by selecting 'My Dashboard'.

If you can't remember your password, then you can reset your password.

If you have any issues, then we can manually reset your password for you. Email us at [email protected] or use our contact form and we'll help you.


What should I do if I can't sign in?

We recommend you start by resetting your password at https://courses.lovesdata.com/users/password/new.

Then login into your account at https://courses.lovesdata.com/users/sign_in.

If you still have problems, then we can manually reset your password. Email us at [email protected] or use our contact form and we'll send you a temporary password.


What should I do if I have a problem watching a lesson?

Start by checking that you're using a reliable internet connection.

If you're seeing lower quality videos then use the configuration icon to increase the quality setting (this will mean extra time is required to load the video).

Try clearing your browser's cache. The steps to do this are:

  • Chrome Preferences > Show advanced settings > Browsing data
  • Safari Preferences > Privacy > Remove All Browsing Data
  • Firefox History > Clear recent history
  • Internet Explorer Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History

You can also try accessing the course on a different browser and checking that your browser is up to date.

What should I do if I'm having an issue purchasing a course?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Amex, and MasterCard) and PayPal for course purchases.
